Katyn Memorial Mass
On the morning of April 3, sixty seven years ago, from Kozilesk, Ostaszkow, and Starobielsk, the first trains left the station. Everyday till the half of May 1940, the NKVD liquidated the prisoners of war one by one, with a shot to the back of the head, until all the Soviet camps were cleared. These executions have become known as the Katyn Massacre, named for the forest where some of those officers were executed and buried.
On behalf of the Polish American Veterans of Chelsea, you are cordially invited to attend and join with us at a special Memorial Mass to pay tribute to the more than 22,000 Polish Officers who were murdered by the Russian Secret Police in the Katyn Forest area during World War II.
Please be present at St. Stanislaus Church ( web s.) 163 Chestnut St. Chelsea, MA at 10:00 AM on Sunday April 20, 2008.
Thank you (Dziekuje)
