Dear Sir/ Madam
I would like to notified you about this "tasteful" web page on the Lewis & Clark College, Portland,
I do not see any reason to write to Mr. Krauss, except waste of time, after reading "jokes" like this one:
“Q: Why did the P(olak) cross the road?
A: He couldn't get his d*ck out of the chicken.”
his disclaimer: “The following are meant to offend no one, i myself am largely (and obviously) polish
(but not polished, I guess - Szymon Tolak); i just think polak jokes are hysterical” maks his profile only worst.
In case you have different than mine opinion about exchange with Mr. Krauss,
I am surprised, based on L&C College, how differently and dangerously the education institutions are working in the state of Oregon.

Dear Sir / Madam
I was reading Mr. Michael Krauss of Lewis & Clark College web page and I have to raise the question, is this educational institution in Portland, Oregon promoting ethnic hatred and discrimination?
I have collected materials regarding the issue on my web site:

Updates:
May 10, 2007 - the web site is moved out now, but no word of explanation, regrets or apology! I have the content documented and available on request. My main concern is that Michael Krauss of Lewis & Clark College has influence on young students as a lecturer - S. Tolak, Email: stolak@yahoo.com
May 11. 2007 - Lewis and Clark College President says that the "Polish" page on the site is not offending but they removed the link from their server anyway: http://www.lclark.edu/~krauss/ORTESOL2000web/polakjokes.html
However it is still working under:
Things on the Internet do not disappear as soon as you want! (Thank you, but on this web site we will not create links to anti-Polish sites - S.T.)
I would maybe understand President's point of view if they would have 2 or 3 joke to illustrate the point, but with the amount listed they are up for something bigger.

I agree. What action American Polonia, Polish Americans, people with sense of justice, suppose to take.
if year after year the Lewis & Clark young students and internet users are learning from an ugly, offensive
M. Krauss web page? What justice our country has to offer to its citizens? How we can think or say: let it go?

I bring attention to the following web page Lewis & Clark College
Your college has a dangerous hateful individual by the name of Krauss. You should immediately
have him examined for he is definitely crazy for his demeaning people of a rich and valiant culture.
You should know that the Germans tried to eliminate all Polish people. This jerk is a NAZI.
Do something about this. You have a potential Virginia Tech individual at your college. Please take charge.
Get rid of this site immediately. Do the right thing and take responsibility. I and a lot of others want to
know what is going on with the teaching or supervision at your college. This is his Email: krauss@lclark.edu <krauss@lclark.edu>
I have served many years in the military. I do not take this lightly and neither should the college. I want your response to this activity and what you intend to do ASAP.

~Thank you, Stanley, you have said exactly, what has to be done in the issue.
Mr. M. Krauss teching has to stop right now, I have found this!:
"Facing Facts: Prejudice
an Internet Sampler on Prejudice
created by Michael Krauss
Academic English Studies (AES), Lewis & Clark College
/.../I hope that by feeling some of the anger or hurt that others have felt, the course you are about to take will be more meaningful...."
So, how it will looks if Mr. Krauss starts his "meanigful" courses about fascism, antisemitism,
killing, torture, rape and more, all with the sampling!!???
Stop NAZI's methods in education right now!

"Conclusion
While exploring this sampler on prejudice, I hope you've learned new information and are ready to continue your course, 'Diversity and Civil Rights in the U.S.' All the students in the class will be looking inside themselves and asking, 'How am I prejudiced?' 'What kinds of prejudice exist in my home country?' 'What can I do to help remove prejudice from my life and from my country?' How should I react if I am discriminated against while in the U.S.?
Please be prepared to give your opinion about this activity when we meet together in class. I look forward to working with you! "

~Czesc Tomku!
A teraz Krauss: I hope that by feeling some of the anger or hurt that others have felt,
the course you are about to take will be more meaningful...."
So, how it will looks if Mr. Krauss starts his "meanigful" courses about killing,
torture, rape with the sampling!!???
Stop NAZI's methods of education right now!
Krauss). Jezeli wsrod jego studentow (studentek - o zgrozo) sa jacys Arabowie albo Polacy, to im wspolczuje. Rodziny i ofiary "metod" nauczania Kraussa powinny podjac zdecydowana akcje.
P.S.S.
Zadales pytanie, ktore, ilustruje sposob takich jak Krauss na przemycanie faszystowskich i psychopatologicznych tresci do publicznego dostepu. Kazdy cywilizowany kraj ma na to odpowiedni
przepis prawa karnego.

About Lewis & Clark College Hate Mongering Web site
Thomas J. Hochstettler, President, Lewis & Clark College response letter
to Lt.Col Stanley Dzierzeski US ArmyPolish American Veterans
with Szymon Tolak’s comments.
To respond to your ( inquiry, Lewis & Clark College strives to ensure that our students are alerted
to and armed against the destructive and harmful nature of the kind of discrimination and ethnic
hatred that you refer to in your email. (Fact: web page created by M. Krauss is removed. – S.T.)
We seek to instill (let us know how, because eating ethnic food, dressing ethnic clothes and
telling the jokes is not enough to me. Culture is about values, I think – S.T.) in all members of
our community a deep and abiding respect for diversity, including cultural diversity and diversity
of national origin.
The Web site that you referred to was (Fact, WAS. – S.T.) part of a course that was taught last
semester for the precise purpose (very "precise" when you saying Polish jokes to Japanese,
Chinese, or Korean, better result, and more “precise” you can get with Jewish jokes. – S.T.) of
demonstrating the destructive nature of ethnic and national stereotyping and ridicule. The
instructor for this course intended—and achieved (really? How it was measured? – S.T.) with his students—exactly (? – S.T.) the opposite result from that which you impute. Within the context of
the course, this Web site served as a didactic example of hateful language in one of its most vile
forms (major misconception, the teaching is about diversity not psychology of hate – S.T.).
Taken in its appropriate context (the members of world wide web community take anything they
want out of any context and use it the way they want it, isn’t it obvious? – S.T.) this Web page can
not reasonably be construed as an example of Lewis & Clark College condoning hatred or
discrimination of any type, since in fact its purpose was exactly the opposite (it is not about purpose,
it is about the final result, and by the way, M. Krauss purpose was in his own words: “feeling /../
anger or hurt” . – S.T.). It is an appropriate pedagogical practice explicitly to demonstrate language
that is harmful, however painful it may be to read (causing undeserved pain? Very interesting
method! I have read about its applications in German Nazi concentration camps and torture
chambers elsewhere –S.T.), and Professor Krauss was exercising a legitimate academic prerogative
(causing pain to create anger, legitimate, where, when? – S.T.) in so doing.
Thank you for your vigilance in this matter. I sincerely apologize for any offense you may have suffered
(Thanks, but no thanks. – S.T.) If you have any additional comments or questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me. (I have no money, time, people and skills to continue, sorry. S.T.)
The End
Now, I would like to show my point in more ways:
6) Judeophobia(= Polonophobia - S.T.) is more dangerous. With appalling ease this
particular hatred transforms into physical violence. In most countries in which they
lived, at some point in history, Jews were killed for being Jews.(= During II World
War Poles were killed for being Poles. 6 million. - S.T.) That is why any Judeophobic
(= Polonophobic - S.T.) expression is potentially more dangerous than hostility towards
other groups. It quickly slides into abuse and murder. Take the example of humor as
an aggressive outlet against minorities. In almost every country there are jokes
about another group which is depicted as dumb. In England these are Irish jokes, /.../
in Sweden Norwegian jokes, in Brazil Portuguese jokes, and so on. Jewish (= Polish -
S.T.) jokes can be as inoffensive as the others, and no one should be particularly
concerned about them. But on the other hand, had it been possible to suppress Jewish
(= Polish - S.T.) jokes in Europe (and America - S.T.) during a century or two before
the Holocaust (and genocide on Poles - S.T.), the virulence of Judeophobia (=
Polonofobia - S.T.) may have been diminished and the Nazis may have found less
support for their genocide. After all, Judeophobia (=Polonophobia - S.T.) is
transmitted in gestures, jokes and generalizations rather than in lectures. Jokes and
gestures can be fatal. (highlighted by S.T.)
"Polish Americans",Helena Znaniecka Lopata, p.160:
"...strong protests have been sent to NBC (the Natioal Broadcasting Company) for
sponsoring the television show "Laugh-In" because its comedians reportedly use "Polak
jokes". In fact, the case agaist the company was brought before the Federal
Communication commission.
The concern over the image the American public has of of Polish Americans has been
carreid to recent times. The April 1993 issue of "Polonia Today" carreid "An Urgent
Call for Unified Action" /.../The call is for membership and donations so that the
society can take legal action against NBC (***-S.T.) /.../ that [the] stigmatized
image has been deliberately implemented into the minds of the American public through
the "Polish Joke" syndrome and negative stereotyping of Polish Americans /../"
***(This is my biggest concern about, not only American, democracy: too close
connection between justice and money (business, lobies), if you have money you can
buy "justice" and harm innocent victims, if you do not have money, you can not afford
justice. Any time justice is not served because of money means one step closer to the
grave for democracy)

Story Idea to:
Hi. I am long time listener and supporter of Democracy Now. Recently I have learned
about terrible example of racism on Louis and Clark Collage of Portland, OR. It is hard
to believe, but Collage has web site full of hateful polish jokes. Staff on that page makes
recent remarks of Don Emus mild in comparison.
Could be a good story. Racism is a serious threat to the society. Read more on polboston.

i understand totally. i am in contact with a religious reporter of the st. petersburg times concerning the discrimination against the catholic poles by the local fl holocaust museum and the public school system holocaust education. i watched a 150 min. presentation for the public students withour hearing the word catholic from the docent and did not hear @ all the words polish catholic (victims). she wants poles here in am. to give some idea of the problem which is widely known in our community. i asked her the following: "i am a slav, the largest group of caucasians. now, since we are named after slaves, we are unique. therefore, we are going to open slavery museums internationally and nationally for slavery. we will take exclusive control of the program. members of the am. museum association in d.c. too which disallows discrimination. tax exempt. contract to teach slavery to the public school students. note "the" or 100% of the history of slavery. but..........because we are unique, we chose to neglect the 375 yr. black slavery history in n./s. am. and the mere 400 yr. history of the jewish slavery in egypt where they build all of the pyramids in a short 400 yr. history. sort of like in the film "moses". now we know that we are in violation of discrimination laws, misuse of public money, teaching manufactured history (propaganda) and fraud: but we are above the law since we are unique. since we comprise circa 30-35% of the am. population (not 2.5%), we are free to do b.a.u.." off the record, this lady reporter in black. I asked, " how this museum would be accepted by the blacks here in the u.s.a. or internationally." according to her, it is a NO go. crude analogy, but it gets the point across. i am sure that the adl and aipac would be heard form also.
what do you think?
would you consider to be included in the list of pol-am's that i will give to this lady reporter. i cannot have the onus on my shoulders alone. collusion is not a sin. i am in clearwater, fl and have contacted many pol-am business owners for momentum. i know wally west from st. pete.
can you suggest someone from pna or pac who can talk/e-mail this lady for additional support and accuracy?

Hi Tony,
I do not mind at all. Now:
We can easy imagine a museum of slavery with the chains, cuffs, whopping sticks and more of such things. But for me this is a misunderstanding of what slavery is, when human person, with all the grace, dignity values, and culture is reduced to an instrument generating bare profit. Such museum has to show how we are able to survive under any condition of degradation, and not only survive but create new better world, Tony.
Take care,

Anti-feminism:
Is this anti-feminism in the "curriculum" of Michael Krauss of Lewis & Clark College?

1. Read [mandatory for the girls - S.T.] the first three jokes [so, why to maintain few dozen of the jokes like these on the Krauss web page? - S.T.] . Get help to understand them [and come down - S.T.], if you need it.
2. Write [if you are masochist - S.T.] a paragraph: Are jokes like this harmful?[not obvious for idiots - S.T.] Why or why not? [only to answer by M. Q: Why to /../ bring a bucket of shit to [..] wedding.
A. To keep the flies of the bride.
Q: How did [..] mother teach her son which way to put his underwear on?
A: Yellow in the front, Brown in the back!
Q: How are a hockey goalie and [..] woman alike?
A: They both change their pads after 3 periods”
Q: What did [..] mother say when her daughter announced that she was pregnant?
A: "Are you sure it's yours?"
Q: What does [..] girl do after she sucks cock?
A: Spits out the feathers”
So, is this anti-feminism?
[The following are meant to offend no woman. I am sorry about it, and I am not responsible for the content of this "sampler" - Szymon Tolak, www.polboston.com ]
Oh, by the way, "diversity" on M. Krauss classes' means different food and dresses, nothing about the cultural values, religion, ethnic or spiritual roots. Nothing is said about achievements and virtues implemented into our life by different ethnic groups. Did I read wrong way the Academic English Studies (AES), Lewis & Clark College web site?
